An Update on Nashville Businesses Affected by Tornado

An update on Nashville businesses affected by March tornado

A global pandemic on the heels of a natural disaster has many Nashville businesses struggling to get back on their feet. Some of our community’s most beloved merchants and eateries are still in the process of rebuilding due to damage sustained from the March 3rd tornadoes and some haven’t fully reopened yet due to COVID-19 restrictions. We were curious to see where they all stand now. You may want to check each business’s website and social media for their current status and hours as things still seem to be changing on a daily basis for some.

While all of these businesses can use our support right now, it’s also important to remember the hospitality workers who are now out of work due to closures. Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee created the Tennessee Action for Hospitality Assistance Fund to offer up to $1,000 grants to qualifying individuals.

“The importance placed specifically on employees of Independent restaurants and bars is to preserve what cannot be replaced— establishments that create culture— by providing meaningful assistance to those who may not qualify for other need-based funds but who cannot meet their financial obligations by unemployment alone.”
